Kobe Bryant’s California Home On Market For $8.6 Million, Shark Tank, Full-Sized Gym Included

Kobe Bryant has placed his Newport Coast mansion on the open market for a cool $8.6 million, according to the L.A. Times.

Set on a half-acre and built in 1997, the two-story Mediterranean-style abode is set behind gates at the end of a cul-de-sac. It includes an 850-square-foot gym, a hair salon, a paneled office-library with shark tank, a theater, four bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The grounds also include a swimming pool and spa, lawn, a fire pit and an outdoor kitchen.

The property last sold for $1.7 million in 1997, public records show. The Times noted Bryant and his wife, Vanessa, own various other properties in the area.

Bryant, 34, is recovering from a torn Achilles tendon that was initially expected to keep him out for the early part of the next season. In recent time, however, he has intimated that he is well ahead schedule in his rehab and might be ready to play by the season’s opener.

After losing Dwight Howard to Houston in free agency, the Lakers have added Nick Young, Lordan Farmar, Wesley Johnson and Chris Kaman.

The Olympic gold medalist started his NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1996. He is the all-time leading scorer in the team’s history.
