Jones is no stranger to the spotlight. She has competed in two Olympics, although she failed to medal in either one. She created social media stirs - first when she announced she was a virgin, then when she complained about her feeble bobsledding pay, and finally when she agreed to a date with a man who asked her out on Twitter on the condition that his tweet receive 150,000 retweets.

Actress Nicky Whelan, who also stars in the movie, tweeted, "Such a pleasure having the beautiful @lolojones on board @leftbehindmovie pic.twitter.com/V3Cngk7Cxs"

"The film's producer and writer, Paul Lalonde, decided last week to offer Jones a role as a gate attendant at an airport, upon learning that the city where they were shooting the movie - Baton Rouge, La. - was also Jones' training base," olympictalk.com reported.

"Obviously everybody knows who she is," he told olympictalk.com in a phone interview. "I'm a huge fan of her. I love her never-say-die attitude about everything. ... She's a beautiful woman, too, which never hurts when you're casting for a movie."
