Position Battles To Watch
Broncos: With Julius Thomas and his 12 touchdowns traveling to Jacksonville, the battle for Peyton Manning's fantasy-relevant TE is up for grabs. Virgil Green proved to be one of the top TE performers at the 2011 combine, but Owen Daniels has familiarity on his side. The veteran featured under newly appointed head coach Gary Kubiak during his tenure at Houston.
Riley Cooper Says Tim Tebow's Improving As A Passer
Seahawks: Left guard remains one of Seattle's hotly contested positions. Keavon Milton spent much of the week working with the first team, per the Seattle Times, with Alvin Bailey pushing the undrafted lineman in practice.
Performance To Examine
Manning is unlikely to feature for much of the preseason, giving Brock Osweiler plenty of opportunities to earn a new contract. The 24-year-old is entering the final year of his rookie deal, and his performances in meaningless games will likely determine his future.
"We'll evaluate him through training camp and evaluate him through preseason," Broncos general manager John Elway said, per Mile High Report. "I think that he got a lot of reps this offseason and we saw what he could do in practice, so we'll do the best we can to try to evaluate him."
