WWE 'SummerSlam' 2015 Rumors: The Rock May Get Involved In Wyatts vs. Ambrose, Reigns Match

The Barclays Center in Brooklyn may smell what The Rock is cooking at SummerSlam.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's cousin, Roman Reigns, hinted that the People's Champion may very well make an appearance when the WWE's annual August spectacle invades New York City next Sunday.

Dean Ambrose Heel Turn Hinted At In SummerSlam Interview

"I wanna tell you, but I don't want to give anything away," Reigns told FoxSports.com when asked if The Rock would appear at SummerSlam.

The Rock came to Reigns' aid at the Royal Rumble in January, helping him thwart off an attack from The Big Show and Kane after he won the Rumble Match. He also resurfaced at WrestleMania 31 in March in a memorable in-ring segment with UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

10 Things We Want To See At SummerSlam

Now, there is a lot of buzz that The Rock could return for the Biggest Party of the Summer.

There are many different scenarios in which The Rock could strike a comeback, but the bout that makes the most sense for him to get involved in is the tag match pitting Reigns and Dean Ambrose against The Wyatt Family.

There have been rumors that Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper may receive a new partner, and it's plausible that this mystery person could get involved in the tag bout at SummerSlam.

Last month, there was speculation that Sting would be the one to save the face team from a 3-on-2 disadvantage, but the WWE changed its plans. Perhaps, The Rock could fill that void.

There has also been a lot of buzz that Ambrose may end up turning heel on Reigns, which could lead to The Rock coming out to make the save as well.

The Rock also generated a lot of excitement during his in-ring segment with Rousey, so another option could possible see The Brahma Bull take more action against Triple H to lead to a possible WrestleMania 32 clash.

The eight-time WWE Champion has had many highlights in SummerSlam history, including a memorable Ladder Match with Triple H in 1998, beating Booker T for the WCW Championship in 2001 and passing the torch to Brock Lesnar in 2002.

The People's Champion may finally return to SummerSlam.
