Notre Dame has a new uniform to underachieve in.
The university unveiled its latest "Shamrock Series" uniforms on Thursday. A gold helmet with a green facemask and the shamrock on the side, along with dark green shirts and pants are the main features. Attention to detail highlights 11 breaks in the Fighting Irish stripe—for both the helmet and pants—to represent the team's 11 national championships.
Title Odds For Top 10 Teams In The Country
Sponsored by Under Armour, the uniforms will debut on Nov. 21 against Boston College at Fenway Park. If the oddsmakers are correct—Notre Dame enters the season a +2000 favorite for the national championship, according to Bovada—there will be more than one Green Monster on display that Saturday.

As for the players' reaction, needless to say they were adequately pleased.
Since 2009, the Fighting Irish are 6-0 in the Shamrock Series. The first contest coming in 2009 against Washington State. Only one opponent, however, ranked in the Top 25. In keeping with that theme, Boston College failed to rank in the Top 25 in both the AP and Coaches Poll this preseason.
