'WWE RAW' Spoilers & Rumors: Big Returns Planned, Road To 'SummerSlam' Continues [VIDEO]

The countdown to SummerSlam continues when the WWE presents Monday Night RAW live this week from Xfinity Arena in Everett, Wash.

WWE Star Sheamus Likely Dealing With Concussion

Three big names aren't expected to be in attendance as WWE United States Champion John Cena is still dealing with his broken nose, while The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar, both part-time stars, take the week off until next Monday's go-home show.

The Deadman vs. The Beast will headline SummerSlam on Aug. 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Though Cena isn't expected to be there, the WWE is teasing that he might accept Seth Rollins' winner-take-all title-for-title challenge for SummerSlam that would see the United States and WWE World Heavyweight titles hang in the balance.

There are also rumors that two big names will return as Intercontinental Champion Ryback is reportedly in Washington while Dolph Ziggler returned at weekend house shows after missing time to film the WWE Studios movie 6:42.

Ryback is slated to defend his Intercontinental Championship against The Miz and The Big Show at SummerSlam, while there are rumors that Ziggler will battle Rusev at the event. Lana and Summer Rae are also sure to mix it up this week.

Superstars advertised for RAW include Rollins, Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Sheamus, Kevin Owens, Big Show, Bray Wyatt and The New Day.

There are rumors that Sheamus sustained a concussion, which stem from him being held off of last week's Australian tour, so it's unknown if he'll appear or what his rival Orton will do if he's absent.

The WWE has also hyped guest host Stephen Amell of Arrow and after his recent social media war with Stardust, that storyline is sure to play a prominent role this week.

Tonight will also feature the latest chapter in the ongoing saga between former Shield members Reigns & Ambrose and The Wyatt Family ahead of their tag team match at SummerSlam.

In the tag division, things are also heating up for title-holders The Prime Time Players as many teams have stepped up to challenge them over the past few weeks. The WWE Universe will find out which team will seek to beat them this week.

With just 13 nights and two episodes of RAW until SummerSlam, the WWE is likely to announce more matches for the event. One such bout could feature Owens vs. Cesaro as the two have been feuding in recent weeks.

Over in the Divas division, Nikki Bella enters Day 260 as Divas Champion, just 35 days shy of AJ Lee's record reign of 295 days.

Team Bella (Nikki, Brie & Alicia Fox) has been at odds with Team B.A.D. (NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks, Naomi & Tamina) and the recently renamed Team PCB (Paige, Charlotte & Becky) as the Divas Revolution continues.

With less than two weeks until SummerSlam it's sure to be an explosive episode of RAW live tonight from Washington.
