Neither Russell Wilson nor Ciara appears to be the primary decision-maker in their relationship. That job belongs to Mark Rodgers.
International Business Times is reporting that Wilson went on the "Dan Patrick Show" and revealed that his agent, Rodgers, would not let the Seattle Seahawks quarterback buy a new house until he had signed a new contract with the team.
And even though Wilson now has a four-year, $87 million signed contract that includes a $31 million bonus for 2015, he still may need his agent's permission to go house-hunting.
" 'I'll probably end up buying a house now,' " Wilson told Dan Patrick, as reported by International Business Times. " 'My agent, Mark [Rodgers], would never let me get a house until I signed a deal. So that will be the first thing I get ... I was in the renting process. Now I think I can finally buy a home.'"
Wilson's tone made it sound as if he was still not 100 percent certain and that he may need to check with Rodgers.
Wilson is currently with the Seahawks in training camp, gearing up for the 2015 season. His drawn-out contract negotiation and his relationship with the singer have dominated the headlines involving the Seahawks quarterback during the offseason.
Wilson currently is embroiled in a controversy over Ciara's son Future Zahir. The boy's father, rap artist Future, has been critical publicly over Ciara introducing their child to Wilson after the couple has been dating only a few months.
Wilson has tried to stay of out the war of words between his girlfriend and her ex-boyfriend.
