Danny Garcia Next Fight: Amir Khan, Shawn Porter Both Want To Face 'Swift'

Danny "Swift" Garcia remained unbeaten on Saturday when he broke down Paulie Malignaggi on a Premier Boxing Champions fight card in Brooklyn, New York in Garcia's first fight as a full-blown welterweight. Garcia looked strong at 147 pounds, and already has top-of-the-line welterweights calling him out.

Shawn "Showtime" Porter was in attendance Saturday night scouting Garcia for a possible fight. "We hear through the grapevine that I'm tailor-made for Garcia," Porter said. "We are here to scout him because there are words out of his mouth I want to answer."

Porter went on to dismiss Garcia's excuses for several lackluster performances at 140 pounds in which he failed to dominate lesser opponents, or chose to fight low-level fighters. Garcia's main reason was that cutting weight to 140 pounds was taking a toll on him.

"I'm not buying it. But I understand people have to do things the right way. If he's blaming it on the weight I say he's not doing it the right way. I'm a top guy at 147 so you can come and see me."

There may be a bigger fish available for Garcia though-Amir "King" Khan. He lost back-to-back fights to Garcia and Lamont Peterson before getting himself back on track and winning his next five fights.

"Yes 100 percent I'd love a rematch with Garcia or Peterson. It won't happen though. I would love it but they've been sounded out about it, I've had no response. Last few fights as well Garcia's not looked like the fighter he once was. He was on fire a couple of years ago beating myself, Zab Judah and Erik Morales but he's struggled lately."

Fellow unbeaten welterweight Keith "One-Time" Thurman was also in the house for Garcia vs. Malignaggi and said he would be willing to fight Garcia if he won. Thurman also said he would like to face Floyd Mayweather Jr., but he wants to fight before the year ends, while Mayweather is scheduled to fight on September 12, so Garcia is a more likely option late in 2015, or in early 2016.
