President Barack Obama celebrates his 54th birthday on Tuesday and he is one of the most physically active men to ever grace the White House.
The 44th president of the United States has been very prominent in the sports world throughout his tenure in the White House, frequently hosting championship teams - and he's even gotten in on the action himself from time-to-time.
Obama is an avid golfer and basketball player and he has also tried his hand in games such as tennis, ping pong and baseball.
Obama, a former Illinois senator, is a fan of the Chicago White Sox and he also likes the NFL's Bears and the NBA's Bulls, all of whom hail from the Windy City.
President Obama even once praised Bulls star Derek Rose.
"I want to pay tribute to a friend who has recently taken over this town," Obama said of Rose per Bulls.com. "He's become the most powerful man in Chicago. Unbelievable energy, sharp elbows; but has brought Chicago a new sense of hope about our future."
While being the No. 1 man in one of the busiest countries in the world certainly has its stresses, the president has used sports as a gateway to turn loose every once in a while.
He may be another year older and closer to the end of his run as president, but Obama certainly has a knack for staying young through playing sports.
