AC Milan Transfer News: Zlatan Ibrahimovic Surprise Move, Alessio Romagnoli €25 Million Bid Rejected and More

AC Milan fell to Real Madrid in the 2015 International Champions Cup on Thursday. A lackluster performance from the Rossoneri further highlighted the club's need for additional reinforcements. The future of two potential targets were finally revealed.

Below are all the latest transfer rumors surrounding AC Milan.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Long linked with a return to the San Siro, Zlatan Ibrahimovic reiterated that he's happy to stay at Paris Saint-Germain, just not for the foreseeable future.

The 33-year-old revealed his next move—whenever it may be—will be a surprising one.

"I'm very happy at PSG," Ibrahimovic said (via Football Italia). "You don't see that on the field? I have another year on my contract with PSG and I am very happy. Things are getting better. We are a strong team. We can do much more than we have been doing so at the moment, but I am very happy."

"Where I go next, it will be a surprise," he added. "A very big surprise."

Alessio Romagnoli

AS Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli was as coy on his future amid links to Milan. The 20-year-old refused to confirm he's staying in the Italian capital. When asked about his time at Roma, Romagnoli told LaRoma24 (via Football Italia): "We'll see."

Milan entered a €25 million bid only to see it rejected by the Giallorossi. The club refuses to budge from its €30 million asking price.

Alex Witsel

The Alex Witsel saga continues to drag on. A previous price tag of €40 million was absurdly raised by his parent club Zenit St. Petersburg.

Director general Maxim Mitrofanov set the new standard in an interview with ITAR-TASS on Monday.

"At this moment we can rule out Witsel's departure," Mitrofanov said (via Football Italia). "If a club were to present a €100 million offer, though, then we would let him go."
