Forget the comments of Ciara's ex-boyfriend, she and new beau Russell Wilson say.
But does that ex-boyfriend, rapper Future, have a point?
Rapper Future says ex Ciara and Russell Wilson are using his son as a publicity stunt
E! Online is reporting that the pop singer is more annoyed than anything about Future's comments regarding the 16-month-old child, Future Zahir Wilburn, they have together. The rapper said he didn't think Wilson, the Seattle Seahawks star quarterback and Ciara's new love interest, should be involved yet with the child.
"Ciara was more annoyed with Future's comments than sad or upset," a source revealed to E! News exclusively. "She is really strong now and so happy. She thinks Future needs to live his life and leave her happy relationship out of it."
Ciara's baby-daddy says the couple prayed after sex, rather than abstaining from it
Future had said in a radio interview that, "You don't even bring a man around your son. You know this dude for a few months and you're bringing him around your kid? Who does that? Nobody does that."
E! added that Ciara wanted Wilson to meet her son.
"Russell loves kids and it was important to Ciara for Russell to meet Baby Future," our source explained. "Russell is not trying to replace Future as a dad. He is just being a good guy to both Ciara and Baby Future.
"Ciara introduced baby Future to Russell in a very organic way and never forced anything involving her child."
Wilson and Ciara reportedly got together in April, so the relationship may be about 4 months old.
Author Marina Sbrochi told Huffington Post in 2012, however, that a romantic partner should not meet the significant other's children until the relationship is at least six months old and until both parties are secure that the relationship is headed for long-term.
At the least, Ciara and Wilson should have talked to Future about their intentions to introduce Wilson to Future Zahir, but it appears that did not happen.
