There's no truth to the rumor that Tom Brady is vying to play The Hulk in the next Avengers movie, but two Brady acquaintances now have said he's angry and the NFL's not going to like him when he's angry.
According to WEEI.com, New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman said Brady, his good friend and Patriots quarterback is using Deflategate as a motivational tool and has given him the edge he needs to enter the 2015 season.
NFL can rescind football rule to save face for potential in rescinding Tom Brady suspension
"He's fired up," Edelman told reporters at a football clinic at a high school north of Boston, WEEI reported. "You don't want a mad Tom Brady, and he's a little ticked off."
Edelman, nicknamed "Minitron" by Brady, is the second person to comment on Brady's demeanor in regard to his four-game suspension for his involvement in Deflategate - in which 11 Patriots footballs were found to be underinflated at halftime of their AFC Championship Game triumph over the Indianapolis Colts.
New England went on to win Super Bowl XLIX, beating the Seattle Seahawks.
Tom Brady to consider defamation suit against NFL even if his four-game suspension is rescinded?
Brady is awaiting the verdict on his appeal from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell that is expected at the end of the month.
Former New England Patriots safety-turned NFL analyst Rodney Harrison told MMQB.com that he is looking for revenge on those who are questioning his legacy.
"You've got way over $100 million in the bank. You've got a beautiful wife. You've got a beautiful family," Harrison told MMQB.com. "The natural tendency would be to say, 'I can lie in my silk sheets and just enjoy life now. I don't need football.' But I'm telling you: This is the best thing that could have happened to Tom Brady. This will rejuvenate him. The rest of the league better look out. This year, he's going to make everybody pay for what's happened."
Harrison pointed out that the last time the Patriots' integrity was questioned - after Spygate, they went out and won 18 consecutive games before David Tyree and the New York Giants shocked them in Super Bowl XLII.
