Manchester United Transfer News: Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez Returning to Spain, £60 Million Thomas Muller Bid and More

Manchester United—the unofficial kings of the rumor mill—continue to be linked to two of the world's best. Planning to offload Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez and Robin van Persie, manager Louis van Gaal has identified an replacement.

Below is all the transfer gossip surrounding the Red Devils.

Javier Hernandez

Having lost Carlos Bacca to AC Milan, Unai Emery has identified several replacements, chief among them Javier Hernandez.

"There is Chicharito, [Ciro] Immobile and other players that we are evaluating," Emery said.

According to the Daily Mail, United want around £8 million for the 27-year-old. With Sevilla being a top club in La Liga, Champions League bound and desperate for a potent striker, all of Hernandez's requirements for an acceptable transfer will be met.

Thomas Muller

According to The Star (via Manchester Evening News), van Gaal has identified Thomas Muller as his top striker target and is prepared to launch a £60 million bid. The man he would replace, van Persie, is close to completing a £4.7 million move to Fenerbahce.

Matteo Darmian

Taking a look at reality, Matteo Darmian has confirmed he is close to signing for United. According to the Mirror, the club has agreed to a £12.9 million deal with Torino for the full-back. Per the report, the announcement is expected in the coming days.

"I'm very excited," the 25-year-old said. "We'll face this new adventure. It's a dream. I'm superstitious, so I won't say anything until the signatures. Let's wait."

"I say thank you to Torino and their fans who have been great these years."

Darmian made 33 league appearances for Torino last season, finishing with two goals and an average of 2.6 tackles.
