Ahead of WWE's SummerSlam pay-per-view on Aug. 18, a video of Brock Lesnar talking about facing CM Punk in the match dubbed "The Best vs. The Beast" has been released.

The video can be seen below:

Lesnar and Punk are expected to steal the show on a card that also features a highly anticipated main event that will pit WWE Champion John Cena against challenger Daniel Bryan as well as Alberto Del Rio defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Christian.

The feud between the two is based on a falling out with CM Punk and Lesnar's manager Paul Heyman, who formerly managed Punk along with Lesnar.

Lesnar will be making his second consecutive SummerSlam appearance after defeating Triple H in a no-disqualification match at last year's installment. CM Punk also appeared at last year's event, and successfully defended his WWE Championship against the Big Show and John Cena, during his historic 434-day title run.

The WWE is pushing the Punk and Lesnar feud as one of its main events for their second biggest pay-per-view of the year, which takes place from the Los Angeles Staples Center for the fifth consecutive year.

While win-loss records aren't kept too seriously in wrestling, Punk owns a 4-2 record at SummerSlam, and has appeared in every SummerSlam from 2007-12, and Brock Lesnar is 2-1 at SummerSlam, garnering his biggest win at the 2002 extravaganza by defeating The Rock for the WWE Championship in his first appearance at the August PPV.

After falling to Kurt Angle at SummerSlam 2003, Lesnar didn't make another appearance until last year's event due to leaving the WWE to try out for the NFL. After getting cut by the Minnesota Vikings and a stint in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Lesnar tried his hand in ultimate fighting, and didn't appear in a WWE ring until last year on the night after WrestleMania XXVIII

The undercard for SummerSlam will feature Cody Rhodes vs. Damian Sandow in a singles match, Kane vs. Bray Wyatt in a Ring of Fire match and Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlin vs. Big E. Langston and AJ Lee in a mixed tag team match.
