Caroline Wozniacki, Rory McIlroy News: Golfer's Ankle Query Ends Dane's Press Conference [VIDEO]

Caroline Wozniacki had a rough day on Monday.

The No. 5 women's tennis player in the world was bounced in the fourth round at Wimbledon at the hands of No. 20 Garbine Muguruza, marking the 13th time in her last 14 Grand Slam events that she has failed to get past the fourth round, according to WatchESPN.

Caroline Wozniacki freaks out about questions over upcoming Wimbledon foe

Wozniacki's only advancement past round four in a major came at last year's US Open, in which she lost to Serena Williams in the championship match.

During her post-match interview at Wimbledon, Wozniacki lamented that women's players at the Grand Slam do not enjoy the same exposure as the men on the most visible courts at the All-England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, foxsports.com reported.

Taylor Swift shuns Caroline Wozniacki from taking the stage at her London concert?

As a reward for speaking out was the following follow-up question about ex-fiancée Rory McIlroy:

"Do you have any messages for Rory McIlroy who sustained an injury to his ankle today?"

Fortunately for the reporter, or for Wozniacki, or both, the news conference moderator stepped in and requested questions regarding only tennis.

The news conference ended there.

Wozniacki already made news last week for her news-conference etiquette when, for some reason, she became agitated when asked follow-up questions about Camila Giorgi, who was to be her next opponent in the third round.

"Are we in Camila's press conference or are we in mine? I'm starting to not know exactly. You can ask her," she said, adding she didn't know what was going on inside Giorgi's head.

When the reporter pressed her, she responded, "Next question. Jesus."

Wozniacki also has been at odds with the media that have been reporting on her tweets in support of golfers Jordan Spieth (Masters) and Jason Day (US Open), who have been competing against her ex. She was criticized that her tweets were meant as digs at McIlroy.

While the Dane has every right to feel frustrated about having to defend herself over a relationship McIlroy ended over a year ago, she also may be learning a valuable lesson about what she says on social media to draw a reaction.
