Bill Belichick Advice For Tim Tebow: 'Just Be Ready' For Preseason Opener Vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Bill Belichick’s only advice to Tim Tebow as he prepares for his New England Patriots debut is “just be ready when your number is called.”

The Patriots face Michael Vick in their preseason opener Friday and Tebow admits he doesn’t know quite what to expect. “I don’t know it’s not something we’ve really talked about the quarterback told reporters.

Reports are Tebow has been like a sponge over the first two weeks of minicamp, soaking up everything he can from Hall of Fame bound quarterback Tom Brady to the point teammates have even taking to teasing him about all his questions.

Still, Tebow is convinced he’s a better man and quarterback for it all. “I feel like I’m getting better every single day,” he told reporters. “More comfortable with the offense, better timing with everybody around me, better understanding of what the coaches want me to do. So, it’s just every day trying to get a little better, and it sounds cliché, but it’s true.”

Reuniting with new Patriots offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels, the man who drafted in 2010 as then head of the Denver Broncos, has also proven fruitful for Tebow.

“It been great,” he said. “We’ve had a greater relationship, and being back with him, he’s so smart with the same with the game--- coaching quarterbacks, coaching offense. And just being around him and talking ball is a lot of fun.”
