Jets' Joe McKnight Arrested In New Jersey For Outstanding Traffic Warrants

New York Jets running back Joe McKnight was taken into custody late last month after New Jersey cops found he had several outstanding warrants during a routine traffic stop.

The former USC star was booked on July 30 in Hanover Township after police allegedly observed his speeding 2010 Mercedes excessively changing lanes without signaling. After running his plates, officers determined the 25-year-old veteran was wanted on the outstanding warrants.

According to TMZ, McKnight spent several hours in custody before being allowed to pay off fines of $200 and $120 for previous failure to show proof of insurance and another unknown traffic ticket.

McKnight is the second Jets running back to be jailed this off-season on criminal charges. Back in May, teammate Mike Goodson was arrested on nearby Route 80 after cops stopped his vehicle and found him to be in possession of guns and weapons.  Goodson, 26, has pled not guilty to both charges.

According to reports, Goodson was a passenger in the vehicle and was later taken to a local hospital because he was believed to be intoxicated at the time of his arrest. In addition to the gun, police also told a judge they recovered hollow point bullets in the vehicle.  He remains free on $50,000 bail.
