St. Louis Rams Rumors: Zac Stacy Loses It, Demands Trade After Team Drafts Todd Gurley [VIDEO]

While the NFL Draft offers a lot of hope and promise for teams and their fans, it is easy to forget that it can be a stressful experience not only for the players hoping to be selected, but also for the players already on NFL rosters. Every draft pick means new competition, and each young guy that makes a team means a veteran that gets pushed out.

Peyton Manning Not Done After 2015?

Given that sort of pressure and the frailty of a career in professional sports, it is easy to understand why veterans may not always be excited about their team's draft choice. That was certainly the case last night when the St. Louis Rams selected Georgia running back Todd Gurley, as Zac Stacy did not handle the news well.

Stacy was a breakout star two seasons ago in St. Louis, but he was largely ineffective when he was on the field in 2014, and he lost the primary running back job to Tre Mason during the season. Apparently when the team drafted Gurley, that was the last straw for Stacy.

While it does seem like there is no room for Stacy with the Rams now, it is still surprising that he notified the team of his wishes before the first round of the draft even concluded.

It may be an overreaction, but in the pressure cooker that is the NFL, it can certainly be understood.
