Rajon Rondo Mavericks Rumors: Dallas Denied A Playoffs Check To Injured Point Guard [VIDEO]

Rajon Rondo was brought to Dallas to provide a strong defensive presence and give the offense a new dimension. Instead, he brought a bad attitude, openly feuded with the head coach, gummed up the offense, and played poor defense. He was benched numerous times, including in the playoffs.

Coach Spo On The Hot Seat?

After Rondo's final benching, he was shut down for the remainder of the Mavericks' first round playoff series against the rival Houston Rockets. Dallas managed to win game four and avoid being swept, but Houston closed out the Mavs in game five. And it looks like Rondo is not going to get paid for it.

Rondo allegedly missed the last three games of the series because of a back injury, which is also reportedly why he was benched in game two. Many believe that the injury was just a cover for the fact that Rondo was openly insubordinate and unquestionably a cancer in the locker room.

Kevin Durant To Finally Play For Good Coach?

This is not the first time that Dallas has withheld a playoff share from one of their players, as they did the same thing with forward Lamar Odom in 2013 while he was dealing with personal issues.

Some may argue that it is unfair for the team to not pay Rondo, but others would be quick to point out that Rondo essentially quit on his teammates, which is the ultimate sin in a team sport.

Regardless of what people think about the issue, it now appears all but certain that Rondo will not be a member of the Dallas Mavericks next season.
