How much is one Champions League goal worth? According to Spanish outlet AS (via ESPN FC), it's roughly valued at €10 million.

Eden Hazard to Reject World-Record Transfer from Real Madrid

Per the report, Real Madrid can permanently sign Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez from Manchester United for the aforementioned amount. Currently on a season-long loan, Hernandez has already cost Madrid €2.5 million in transfer fees and an additional €3 million in wages.

Speculation about his future ran rampant following Wednesday's success—speculation Hernandez himself was unsure of.

Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez Has No Future at Real Madrid

"One of my goals is to continue working with Madrid," he said. "You have to live in the present. I do not know what can happen from here until a month from now. Football changes very quickly, lots of things are talked about, and now other things."

"I am very good, very happy, and very confident," he added. "I have lots of short-term goals. I hope to continue to help out."

Hernandez, however, should temper his expectations for next season.

One goal doesn't negate the fact that the 26-year-old was largely ineffective before Wednesday's contest, boasting just three additional starts. Given Real Madrid's track record, reinforcements will be purchased in the summer transfer window, pushing Hernandez further down the pecking order. If ample playing time is a priority, rejecting any offer from Madrid and finding additional opportunities is of the utmost importance.

Not every day will be as exemplary as Wednesday was. For Hernandez in the Santiago Bernabeu, It's likely never to be that euphoric again.

Quit while you're ahead.
