Colin Kaepernick Swagger Update: 49ers QB Not Downplaying Reports of His Improvement [VIDEO]

Throughout his professional career, the one thing that Colin Kaepernick never has lacked is confidence.

It was his bravado that helped him step in for an injured San Francisco 49ers starting quarterback Alex Smith against the Chicago Bears during the 2012 NFL season, in which Kaepernick never relinquished the starting role since.

Colin Kaepernick pressure? 49ers offense could be better than their defense if he has improved

It caused him to sign what many think is a foolhardy contract last summer with the 49ers, giving them full control over his seven-year, $126 million in that they can cut him before April 1 of any season and not have to pay him the remainder of the contract.

Kaepernick's latest bit of self-expression came in an Instagram post that brought out another story pertaining to his swagger.

49ers tight end Vernon Davis latest to gush about Colin Kaepernick's newfound skills

The 49ers quarterback posted a photo of himself towering over a couple of Green Bay Packers defenders, with the caption, "My presence will be felt! #7tormsComing"

Ninersnation.com, however, reported that right tackle Anthony Davis also posted the same photo on his Instagram account as the one Kaepernick posted, but Davis' comment explored more of Kaepernick's psyche:

"You know it's gone be a long night if the QB is running you over. #ManDown Kaps reaction when coach advised him to slide "they too little, coach" then the meeting proceeded. Lol"

Ninersnation.com said that former 49ers running back Frank Gore may have called Davis on his post, as if it weren't true, but the comment no longer appears in response to Davis' post.

Kaepernick spent 10 weeks in the offseason working with quarterbacks mentor Dennis Gile and two-time NFL MVP Kurt Warner on learning the nuances of pocket-passing and all the reports about Kaepernick's development have been glowing - to the point that it was suggested that San Francisco's offense could be better than its defensive in 2015.

Kaepernick could have a lot of pressure on him to produce next season, but at least his self-confidence won't allow him to shrink from the moment.
