Russell Wilson has so far been one of the best draft picks of the last five or ten years. He was a third-round selection for the Seattle Seahawks, and all he has done since coming into the league is lead them to a mountain of victories, including a Super Bowl title.

Wilson is the latest quarterback to go against the "prototypical passer" archetype, as he is considered undersized by many. His success has also made teams more willing to look at passers with less conventional physiques, and it is probably one reason why Johnny Manziel was so highly regarded coming out of Texas A&M.
Manziel has had some off-the-field issues so far in his career, but many still believe in his talent if he can get his life in order. Hall of Famer Roger Staubach recently said as much, according to Pro Football Talk.

"If he really truly gets his life back on track, his talent is Russell Wilson-type talent," Staubach said. "So size isn't the overwhelming issue for him when you have Russell and Drew Brees winning Super Bowls at the same size."
However, Staubach also thinks that Manziel will have to do some work to earn the confidence and trust of his teammates again after he appeared to go through last season with a sense of entitlement.
"You have to be mentally tough and you have got to be a leader. And you have to transfer that to your teammates," Staubach said. "And I think Johnny lost the confidence of his teammates because of his personal issues. He has to get that back."
