The New England Patriots are coming off of a Super Bowl victory, but do not expect them to be satisfied with just the one. They will work hard to defend their title, and they have already been working to piece together the roster that will be good enough to do it.
Eagles Didn't Sign Murray To Weaken Dallas
The team lost Darrelle Revis in free agency, but they have built on other areas of strength in the hopes of once again making a deep playoff run. The latest player that the team is considering is Dallas Cowboys middle linebacker Rolando McClain.
McClain was a high draft pick, but he struggled with injuries and personal issues for much of his career before catching on with Dallas last season and finally looking like the player everyone expected him to be coming out of Alabama.
Adrian Peterson To Dallas Not Dead Despite Vikings' Insistence
The Cowboys have said that they want McClain back, but - as with DeMarco Murray - they are not willing to pay any price to have him. The Cowboys also will have Sean Lee returning from injury, and rookie Anthony Hitchens looked good last year, so Dallas may feel quite comfortable even if McClain does leave.
For their part, the Patriots are one of the best teams in the league at finding undervalued assets and utilizing them effectively, which is why nobody should count them out this coming season, even if they do not look like quite the same team on paper.
