According to F4Wonline.com, it has been confirmed that Sheamus has been scripted into the show and will be on-hand at WrestleMania 31 live this Sunday night from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

"The Celtic Warrior" has been absent from WWE television since he lost the United States Championship to Rusev in November and was subsequently beaten down by the mighty Russian and Mark Henry, which wrote him off of T.V. so that he could undergo surgery.

Ric Flair Predicts Triple H To Defeat Sting At WrestleMania 31

It's uncertain what role Sheamus will have in the event, but there have been a couple rumors flying around over which match he will be involved in and there has been some speculation that he may return as a heel despite leaving the company as a face late last year.

The first rumor is that Sheamus will be in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal for the second straight year. This scenario would see the former WWE Champion come out as a surprise entrant, which likely means he would win the bout.

The other rumor surrounding the "Celtic Warrior" is that he'll be a surprise last-minute addition to the Ladder Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

That bout will see Bad News Barrett defend his title against Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose, Stardust, Luke Harper and R-Truth.

If he's not in the bout, there have been rumors that he may return and cost Bryan the win by taking him out to complete his heel turn and start a feud with Bryan.

Bryan may then overcome the odds and win the title, starting a rivalry between Bryan and Sheamus for the gold. There is said to be a strong emphasis behind the scenes to make the midcard championship scene feel important again, and this would be a step toward doing that.

A Sheamus vs. Bryan match at WrestleMania 31 was rumored months ago, but ended up being changed. The WWE may spark a feud between the two starting Sunday night.

It remains to be seen what his role will be, but it appears as though Sheamus is set to return to the WWE at the biggest show of the year.
