Real Madrid Transfer News: Cristiano Ronaldo Would Cost Manchester United £25 Million Less Than Gareth Bale

The outlandish rumor that refuses to dissipate added another wrinkle on Wednesday. According to Spanish football expert Pete Johnson (via the Daily Star), a bid from Manchester United in the region of £65 million could convince Real Madrid to cash in on Cristiano Ronaldo.

Per the report, Gareth Bale would cost an additional £25 million.

"Their future? A lot depends on who makes a move and on how much they [Manchester] are willing to pay," Johnson said. "If a club bid £90 million for Bale or £65 million for Ronaldo, I think Real Madrid would consider it."

Apparently, Johnson hasn't been paying attention to the words of Florentino Perez. The Bernabeu president said he will not consider any approach for Bale nor Ronaldo, regardless of how much is offered.

"Bale is not for sale and we will never listen to any offers for him," Perez said (via Mirror). "I cannot imagine Real Madrid without Cristiano Ronaldo, nor Gareth Bale. This is a unique player who has already given us a lot and is crucial to the future of the club."

"We have not received an offer from Manchester or any other club for Gareth Bale," he added. "We would never listen to any offer for Bale, no matter what the fee."

Both players are away on international duty, but will return to league play on Apr. 5 against Granada. Real Madrid sit four points back behind Barcelona in the league table and are running the risk of finishing the campaign trophyless, prompting the rumors of a complete overhaul.
