The Cleveland Cavaliers appear to have offically righted the ship. Fans now have nearly half of a season's worth of evidence that Cleveland will be a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs. Not only does the team have the best record in the league since mid-January, but they also have been dismantling quality opponents and bottom-feeders alike.
Lakers Should Chase Kevin Love Instead Of Rajon Rondo
Part of the reason for the resurgence is the team's improved defense and LeBron's return to MVP form. One part of the machine that still does not appear to be clicking, however, is Kevin Love. The star power forward still appears to be struggling with his role on the team, and recent comments indicate that he may not even be fitting in with his teammates, despite being part of the organization for months now.
Love still displays body language that resembles discontent on the court sometimes, and he does not seem to be happy with his role on the team. It could just be the change from being the star and alpha dog in Minnesota to being the second or third wheel in Cleveland, but it could also be something bigger.
Would Rondo Re-Sign With Dallas Now That Things Are Clicking?
While Love has made comments saying that he would like to stay in Cleveland, nobody really put a lot of faith into them because he has yet to act on anything. He can still become a free agent this offseason, and despite what they have said about Rajon Rondo, the Lakers will surely recruit Love if he hits the open market.
Love has deep ties to Southern California, and he is known to favor the Lakers as a potential free agency destination. While it is virtually unprecedented for a star player to leave a team with legitimate championship aspirations to move to a struggling (if high-profile) franchise, Love could be one of the first to do so if he remains unhappy in Cleveland.
Aside from his on-court play and behavior, it seems like his relationship with his teammates may play a crucial role in his decision.
