The Washington Redskins have major questions surrounding the team and what its expectations should be for the 2015 season, but unquestionably the biggest issue is what they will and should do about their starting quarterback situation.
Tony Romo, Jerry Jones, Both Retiring Within 5 Years?
The team seems to have waffled on the future of former golden boy Robert Griffin III several times, and they are reportedly interested in drafting Oregon prospect Marcus Mariota. Head coach Jay Gruden has spoken out in the media many times about the deficiencies that he thinks RG3 has, but could the real reason the team seems hesitant to commit to Griffin be because they still have health concerns about him?
RG3 has already suffered multiple serious leg injuries in his brief career (on top of the one that he suffered in college), and he is working his way back from injury yet again.
Philip Rivers To Replace Peyton Manning In Denver?
Reports are that RG3 is healthy, and he has posted photos of himself working out. However, the team medical staff obviously has been with him throughout his injury and recovery, and they would have the most information about his condition.
If the team has legitimate medical concerns about Griffin, then they would still be saying and doing a lot of the same things that they have already put out into the media, and they have a perfect cover for those suspicions based on the past record of them being disappointed in Griffin's on-field performance.
Time will tell what the team does, but they may have already made their decision about RG3's future.
