Roman Reigns will stare across the ring at Brock Lesnar in the biggest match of his life in just over two weeks on Sunday, March 29 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Reigns has a rich family history in wrestling, but he's had a bumpy road to WrestleMania with the crowd initially turning on him when he won the Royal Rumble Match in January, but his reactions have gotten better as of late.

The leader of the "Roman Empire" spoke to The Sun to promote his upcoming clash with Lesnar and he said he has a lot to live up to as far as his family history goes, but he is the "captain" of the ship right now as far as family affairs are concerned.

"Everybody has a story about my family, it seems," Reigns told the publication. "It is really neat to get all the perspective from everybody over the years. For me to live this life that so many of my family members have already lived and experienced, it is a really neat process. Every town I go to I feel like I'm walking in their footsteps. The ironic thing is this is my ship now, I'm the captain here."

After winning the 2014 Royal Rumble Match, Reigns went on to defeat Daniel Bryan at Fastlane last month to maintain his status as the No. 1 contender to Lesnar's gold.

Lesnar, meanwhile, has been on a tear the past year under a part-time contract, ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, dominating John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam in August and then living up to his moniker of "The Beast" ever since.

Due to the nature of Lesnar's limited-appearances deal, Reigns has spent a lot of the buildup in a verbal spat with his manager Paul Heyman on WWE television.

Lesnar was even supposed to have a promo with Reigns on the Feb. 23 edition of RAW, but he stormed out due to a contract dispute with Vince McMahon before returning to the screen last week. With Lesnar gone, Reigns has gotten to know Heyman and he praised his work.

"Paul's a great source for any Superstar, Reigns said. "He's been all over the world, he's been in so many different promotions, he's seen so many different things and he's learned from the greatest to ever set foot in this industry. So any time I get to interact with him, on camera or off, it is a great experience."

He continued: "He's a very personable guy, very easy to talk to. But sometimes you have to watch people like that, you just never know. He's a very smart man and he knows everything that he's doing. For me, I enjoy my interaction with him, he knows my family very well. He met me when I was just a little guy all the way to what I am now. To have that type of history with someone, for him to know my family in a different light than I may is very cool, very interesting for me and I always like catching up with him."

Reigns and Lesnar will main event the biggest show of the year as the WWE's next big star takes on "The Beast" at WrestleMania 31.
