Horse Racing News: Kylie Minogue in Lineup for 20th Dubai World Cup

Kylie Minogue has blessed the the charts since scoring her first top ten United Kingdom hit in 1987. Now, she's ready to bless the stage at the world's richest day of horse racing.

Minogue will perform at Dubai's internationally renowned World Cup race on Mar. 28. Per the reports, the 46-year-old will be performing a 90-minute show of her hits. Explaining her connection to horse racing, Minogue revealed that it shouldn't be considered a strange one. This is something she's been familiar with all her life.

"Growing up in Melbourne, horse racing is a major and exciting part of our annual calendar," she said (via Dubai Racing Club). "So, to be able to bring my show to the Dubai World Cup is something I'm very much looking forward to."

"It will certainly be an unforgettable experience."

Admission to the post-race concert is exclusive to ticket holders. It will begin following the closing of the Dubai World Cup.

Prize money will total $30 million at the event over a variety of races, culminating in the top prize of $10 million in the main attraction. Luxury brands Longines and Jaguar will sponsor two of the races in addition to giving away prizes to the "Best Dressed Lady" and "Most Elegant Lady."

No horse has ever won the race more than once. In 2014, African Story set the speed record with a time of 2:01.61. Godolphin Racing boasts the record for most wins by an owner, capturing the crown in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2012 and 2014.
