Jameis Winston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers appear to be destined to end up together once the NFL Draft arrives. Everyone has been talking about Winston as the potential first pick since the 2013 season, and Tampa Bay seems quite high on the Florida State product.

Winston and the Bucs just had a meeting a few days ago, and it certainly sounded like each side came away with a good impression of the other. Now, according to TMZ, Winston has also admitted that he would love to continue his football career in the state of Florida.
Winston spent three years at Florida State, and he apparently has developed a fondness for living there. While there are multiple NFL teams that call Florida home, obviously the Buccaneers are one of them, and it is hard not to wonder if Winston was dropping some subtle hints that he would like for the team to draft him with the first pick.

Tampa Bay desperately needs a quarterback upgrade, and Winston is considered by some to be the second-best prospect at the position since Peyton Manning, trailing only Andrew Luck. The Buccaneers also have plenty of cap space, so if they can fill some key holes in free agency and get competent play from their signal-caller, it is not hard to imagine the team contending for a playoff spot, especially if the NFC South once again proves to be a putrid wasteland.
The draft is still two months away, so NFL fans will just have to wait and see how things shake out, but if Winston and the Bucs are to be believed (listening to what teams say is always a dicey proposition ahead of the draft), then it seems that Winston is likely to get his wish about playing in Florida.
