Chicago Bears Rumors: Jon Gruden Believes Bears Need To Cut Ties With Jay Cutler [VIDEO]

Jay Cutler is one of the highest paid quarterbacks in football, but former Super Bowl winning coach and current ESPN analyst Jon Gruden is no fan of the Bears quarterback.

Bears Coach Mispronounces His Own QB's Name

After Cutler and the Bears saw a season that opened with playoff aspirations sputter to a 5-11 record, Gruden has seen all he needs to see of Cutler in Chitown.

Gruden made a guest appearance on ESPN's "Mike & Mike in The Morning" radio show, and stated that newly-hired Bears coach John Fox should really consider a change at the position.

Cutler's Future With Bears in Doubt?

“I think John Fox is going to look at the body of work,” Gruden said, via MSN.com. “They’re going to see that he didn’t get it done really with Lovie Smith or Marc Trestman, and now I’m the next head coach.

"I think you need to give some other people an opportunity to play. I think some of these quarterbacks get too many chances. There are good enough players out there that deserve a chance to be the quarterback of the Chicago Bears.”

Cutler is just one-year into a $126 million dollar contract however, so Gruden's opinion is probably something that's more of a hypothetical than a reality.
