Tonight at 7 p.m. ET, the Philadelphia Flyers (26-23-11, 63 points) and Carolina Hurricanes (21-30-7, 49 points) face-off for the third of five meetings this season live from the PNC Arena in North Carolina.
Philadelphia has won two straight games and opens up a two-match road trip while Carolina has dropped four of its last six contests and embarks on a two-game home stand.
The Flyers have climbed up the standings and are just four points out of the second wild-card spot currently held by the Boston Bruins (67 points) while the Hurricanes are 15th in the Eastern Conference.
Philadelphia won the first meeting between these teams 5-1 on Dec. 13 and Carolina evened things out with a 2-1 victory on Jan. 2.

The Flyers are coming off their second straight 3-2 victory, which came over the Washington Capitals on Sunday.
"We've climbed back from a deep hole but we still have a long ways to go," said Wayne Simmonds, according to NHL.com. "I think we just need to keep our heads down and keep playing solid hockey. Hopefully we can grab that last spot."
Simmonds leads the Philadelphia with 24 goals this season. Flyers forward Jakub Voracek is second in the NHL with 63 points and 44 assists while captain Claude Giroux is fifth in the league with 40 helpers and second on the team with 57 points.
The Hurricanes come in off of a 3-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday and will try to avoid a second straight defeat.
The team opted to skip practice on the two days between games.
"Everyone's mentally tired," head coach Bill Peters told NHL.com. "The mind powers the body. When the mind's tired then the body acts tired."
Justin Faulk has paced Carolina with 36 points off of 10 goals and 26 assists this season while Hurricanes captain Eric Staal leads the team with 18 goals and is second with 35 points.
Carolina is set to turn to Cam Ward in between the pipes and he is 15-19-4 with a 2.39 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage.
Philadelphia counters with 33-year-old rookie Rob Zepp in the crease and he is 5-1-0 with a 2.63 GAA and a .894 save percentage.
The Flyers and Hurricanes clash tonight when the puck drops live from the PNC Arena in Carolina.
