Dallas Cowboys Dez Bryant Rumors: 'Ray Rice Type Video' Causing Reluctance For Long Term Deal? [VIDEO]

The Dallas Cowboys are in the middle of negotiations with their star wide receiver, Dez Bryant, but many fans are wondering exactly why things are proceeding at such a slow pace. Apparently, the team may have reservations because of the existence of a video that allegedly shows Dez Bryant in a terrible light. According to Cowboys HQ, the video is "incriminating" toward Dez, and may show him perpetrating an act of violence against a woman.

Many have called the video an urban legend, but Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk insists that the rumor is well-known and that is has affected the negotiations between Bryant and the Cowboys.

"It's one of the best-kept secrets in the media,'' Florio said. "A story that all of the major insiders know about, known about it for months, involving a video tape. ... (and the) Cowboys are aware of it.''

And the team may be reluctant to commit long-term in the event that the video ever surfaces.

"Because of that and possible other reasons,'' Florio reports, "the Cowboys been very reluctant to commit major money to him. I don't know that (the video) does exist ... it relates to off-field concerns ... that's just the chatter, that there's video ... and the Cowboys are afraid it will come out and have a Ray Rice-like type of an impact. ... People think that's what's keeping the Cowboys from a long-term commitment.''

Earlier today, Bryant posted the following to his Twitter account:

There is no word from Bryant about the tweet being a direct response to news about the alleged video, but the timing is certainly curious.
