WWE Superstar-turned-UFC fighter CM Punk said he "doesn't think at all" about professional wrestling anymore and that he's ready for his first battle in the Octagon and would "fight tomorrow."

Punk spoke to WTMJ in Milwaukee recently and said that he doesn't think about the WWE or wrestling anymore.

"I don't think about it at all," Punk told the affiliate. "I don't want to say one-track minded, I'm very focused and goal-oriented. I did everything I could in pro wrestling. I don't like going backwards. I have, what I think is, a very bright future."

Punk walked out on the WWE last year due to frustration with many aspects of the company and he received his termination papers on the day he married WWE Diva AJ Lee.

Punk then said that he won't ever have a working relationship with the company again and signed with UFC in December.

It has been expected that Punk will make his debut later this year in about six months, but he said he's ready to fight now, but he knows better.

"I'm not sure. My attitude is I'd fight tomorrow, but I'd pretty much know the outcome," Punk said. "I'm on an accelerated path. This is college and I'm cramming four years of college into one year. I've been here a little over one month now. Five more months we're going to sit down and we're going to talk, and we're going to see where my weight's at, we're going to see how I feel. It's no longer just up to me. It's up to my coaches. This is just a guess, October, November, December. But we'll see. I'm fully aware it could be later than that, could be earlier than that."

Another wrestler who has had success in the squared circle and the Octagon is former UFC Heavyweight Champion and current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, who Punk has talked to about this transition.

"I've talked to him and he's offered all his help, even if it's just bug him with a stupid question," he said. "It's cool to know he supports me. He's a good guy to know, I think."

Punk has been training at Roufusport in Milwaukee to get ready for his first fight and he spoke about his experience there.

"I think everybody who runs most of the camps are wise to the fact that [me competing in UFC] is good for the sport," he said. "If I thought I would've been sacrificing quality by coming here, just because it's 90 minutes away, I would've gone somewhere else."

Lastly, Punk said he isn't intimidated about his first fight despite the fact that he has many detractors hoping that he fails.

"I'm not letting what I don't know [prevent] me from any life experience," he said. "I'm not going to stop myself from going to a foreign country because I don't know the language. It's very much like that. I've packed my bags and I've gone to Japan without knowing anybody or speaking the language."
