TIGERS vs ROYALS Watch Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage from Kauffman Stadium Kansas City

The red-hot Kansas City Royals (29-32) look to continue their six-game winning streak in a Tuesday night matchup with the Detroit Tigers (35-27) at Kauffman Stadium. The first pitch is set for 8:10 p.m. ET and will air live on MLB.com with a paid subscription.

Kansas City was successful in taking Game 1 with a 3-2 win over Detroit thanks, in large part, to a two-run triple by Salvador Perez. The six consecutive wins marks the team's longest winning streak since Sept. 10-17, 2011.

The Royals are 7-2 in June and are currently just one win shy of matching their record for May. Kansas City finished the month with an 8-20 record over that span.

However, the Royals will have their hands full as they attempt to do something that no team has done this season, beat Max Scherzer. Scherzer holds a perfect 8-0 record and an impressive 3.24 ERA for the season.

Over the course of his last four starts, he's recorded a 1.86 ERA and is 3-0 in that span, striking out 32 batters in 29 innings while allowing just 12 hits.

"I'm showing consistency with four pitches and I feel like that's really what's allowing me to be effective and pitch deep into games and do all the little things well," Scherzer said after beating Tampa Bay on Thursday, allowing just one earned run in a 5-2 win.

"I realize the league's probably going to make adjustments to me and I've got to be ready to still pitch my best when maybe I don't have my best stuff."

Kansas City has also seen strong performances from their rotation as of late. Royals starters recorded a 1.44 ERA in June, an improvement from their 4.33 total in May.

Wade Davis (3-5, 5.66 ERA) will get the nod for the Royals on Tuesday. He is coming off one of his best starts of the season after going five innings and allowing just four hits and three unearned runs in a 7-3 win over the Twins on Thursday.
