WWE Fast Lane 2015 Rumors: Roman Reigns Likely Defeating Daniel Bryan, Update On Original Plans For Both and WrestleMania 31 [VIDEO]

Fans hoping that Daniel Bryan can once again flip the WrestleMania script like he did last year when he faces Roman Reigns at Fast Lane may be in for some disappointment.

Daniel Bryan Open to Heel Turn and Character Change

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, people handing the promotion for WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in California are under the impression that Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is still the intended main event.

Lesnar vs. Reigns is still the plan going forth in promotional material as Reigns is the most heavily promoted Superstar for the show while Lesnar and John Cena follow closely behind.

It is noted, however, that the WWE hasn't included Sting in the material yet, but he is all but booked to wrestle Triple H at the "Show of Shows" and will be featured when new material comes out once the event gets closer.

Regarding Fast Lane, the original plans for the WWE were to have Reigns defeat a big heel to stay strong for his match with Lesnar. Given the recent storyline direction, that heel was likely The Big Show.

As for Bryan, the WWE reportedly planned for him to job to Bray Wyatt at Fast Lane as a way to keep Wyatt strong as he heads for his rumored bout with The Undertaker at WrestleMania.

The Wyatt-Undertaker match has been rumored for some time and the "Eater of Worlds'" latest promos have strongly hinted at it happening next month.

The WWE likely changed the plans for Bryan and Reigns after the reaction to the Royal Rumble and to drive up interest for this pay-per-view and WWE Network special, which is sandwiched between two of the biggest events of the year.

While Reigns will likely still battle Lesnar at WrestleMania, Bryan is seemingly headed for a clash with Dolph Ziggler at the event.

The WWE originally wanted to have Bryan face Sheamus for the third time at WrestleMania, but Bryan requested to work with "The Showoff" and a Twitter campaign was started for the match.

There's no word yet on how the WWE will have the feud begin on television, but it has already commenced in a friendly way on social media.

Bryan wasn't even booked for the 2014 Rumble Match, but after the crowd turned on Batista, he was thrust into the WrestleMania XXX main event with "The Animal" and Randy Orton after defeating Triple H in the opening bout.

Bryan went on to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship before being sidelined from a neck injury that caused him to miss the rest of 2014.

It doesn't appear "The Beard" will have the same fortune of main eventing the "Show of Shows" this year.

WWE Fast Lane emanates live from the FedEx Forum in Memphis on Sunday, Feb. 22.
