Super Bowl Halftime: The Left Shark Opens Up About His Dance Moves [Instagram PHOTO]

Every year during the Super Bowl, there are a number of moments that get everyone talking because of what is happening on the field. But with the giant production that is the NFL's biggest game nowadays, there are just as many - if not more - moments that get everyone talking that have nothing to do with the game.

Often, the non-football moments involve the commercials. Many of the Super Bowl commercials are better than the average commercial on television. Some try way too hard and fall flat, which can also end up being pretty funny. And some are transcendent, either for the excellent way in which they deliver their message or because a company comes up with a truly brilliant way to advertise their product.

This year, the halftime show created a lot of buzz for a variety of reasons. Everyone was excited that Katy Perry would be the main attraction, but many people also loved it when Lenny Kravitz joined her. Then, when Missy Elliot took the stage, things went to a whole new level.

And as always, the internet found a new star. In this case, it was one of Perry's backup dancers. She was closely followed by two dancers dressed as sharks for one of her songs, and one of them did not exactly follow the script.

Known throughout the broadcast and for a while after the game only as "Left Shark," did not exactly light it up on the dance floor, which many on Twitter laughed at and related to. Now, because the internet is great at this sort of thing (and also because he admitted it), we know that Bryan Gaw was the left shark.

According to SportsGrid, he has been a backup dancer for Katy Perry for a few years, and he admitted that he made a few missteps during the big game.

Now we know.
