The Seattle Seahawks are trying to defeat the New England Patriots and become the first repeat Super Bowl champions since their opponents did it a decade ago. If the team is to win the game, they will surely need another big game from star running back Marshawn Lynch.

But will it be Lynch's final game in a Seattle uniform? Lynch's contract is up after the 2015 season, but there has been speculation that the team may elect to part ways with the running back following the Super Bowl in order to save the team some salary cap space.
The team would save $7 million if they let Lynch go, which would make him a free agent and leave him free to sign with any team in the league.

According to ESPN, the Seahawks and Lynch are set to meet sometime after the big game to discuss his future with the franchise, and it could happen this week. The team would surely like to keep Lynch, as he is their most important offensive player, and he is also one of the most popular players with the fans.
"He's under contract next year and he's a warrior," Seattle general manager John Schneider said of Lynch earlier this week. "He goes out there every weekend and lays it on the line. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better running back in the National Football League."
During the season, there were reports that many members of Seattle's organization, including Lynch, did not expect him to be with the team in 2015.
