The New England Patriots are the rare and lucky franchise that has not had to worry about their quarterback situation for well over a decade now (the 2008 season notwithstanding). And because of Tom Brady's incredible work ethic, the Patriots may not have to worry about it anytime soon either.
Tom Brady's 'Feelings Hurt' By Deflategate
Brady is known to be an incredibly hard worker, and he follows a detailed workout regimen, as well as a strict diet. He credits his routine for keeping him in great shape and feeling great despite the rigors of the NFL season.
Brady is currently 37 years old, and his contract runs until 2017, which is his age-40 season. However, Brady has previously stated that he would probably have interest in playing beyond that season, and possibly until he is 43 or 44 years old.

"I just know that I'm sitting here at age 37 and I feel perfect at the end of 16 games," said Brady, according to CBS Sports. "My arm doesn't hurt, my legs don't hurt. My teammates, they're hurting."
Brady's father (who is also named Tom), however, does not think that his son's determination to continue playing will be something that the Patriots will have interest in.
Under Bill Belichick, the franchise has become known for its willingness to move on from any player, even franchise icons, and they would prefer to shed a player a year too early than a year too late. The strategy has kept them as Super Bowl contenders for over a decade, but it leaves little room for nostalgia or sentimentality.
"It will end badly," said the elder Tom Brady. "It does end badly. And I know that because I know what Tommy wants to do. He wants to play 'til he's 70. ... It's a cold business. And for as much as you want it to be familial, it isn't."
