Bristol Palin, the daughter of one-time Republican vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, is set to appear in the summer premiere episode of Celebrity Wife Swap, ABC Television announced this week.
Palin will star alongside star comedian Joan Rivers, as Joan and her daughter Melissa will trade lives with Bristol and her sister Willow. As part of the swap the Rivers’ tandem will head to Alaska and the Palin’s well-known home of Wasilla. There, they will be responsible for caring for Bristol Palin’s 4-year-old son, Tripp.
As for the Palins, they head west to Los Angeles, where they will reside in the home of Joan Rivers, which doubles as the family’s television production office.
Other celebrities are also slated to make guest appearances this summer season, including Nia Peeples, Tiffany and the girlfriend and wife of former WWE wrestlers “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. Celebrity Wife Swap returns Sunday, June 23 at 8/7c on ABC.
Bristol Palin previously starred in the Lifetime reality show “Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp,” which followed the single mom as she moved from L.A. and back to Alaska and again dealt with readjusting her life. According to Entertainment Weekly, the show was a ratings disaster, particularly among the 18-48 demographic and was not renewed. Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, also made frequent appearances on the show. "Life's A Trip" follows Palin as she moves from Los Angeles back to Alaska and readjusts to life as a single mom with the support of her family, including parents Sarah and Todd.
