Paris Jackson, the daughter of Michael Jackson, is now recuperating after an apparent suicide attempt, according to reports.

Paris remains hospitalized after being rushed to a L.A. hospital by fire department officials responding to a call from her Calabasas home early Wednesday.

"We received a call at 1:27 in the morning,” fire department said in a statement. “We transported a patient to the hospital at 1:47. We responded to a call of an overdose. That’s the kind of call we got."

Debbie Rowe, the 16-year-old’s mom, confirmed to ET officials she believed her daughter had attempted to harm herself, adding that the teen has had "a lot going on lately."

TMZ also later reported the 911 caller stated that Paris had cut her wrists. In recent times, the web site also revealed the teen had printed several cryptic online messages earlier today. In one message, she wrote: "yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they're here to stay."

Later she posted: “I wonder why tears are salty?”

Mom and daughter have reportedly been reconciling, and late Wednesday, Rowe’s attorney Eric George, told the media: “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts for Paris at this time and their respect for the family’s privacy.”

Michael Jackson died in June of 2009 at age 50, leaving behind three young children. Like siblings Prince and Blanket, Paris, for the most part, was shielded from the spotlight during her dad’s life. As kids, all the children often wore masks to hide their faces from the glare of paparazzi.
