Since the Denver Broncos lost to the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs on Sunday, most of the attention the team has received has centered around the future of star quarterback Peyton Manning. Rumors have swirled that Manning is considering retirement, and he did not exactly deny them when he spoke with the media.
Manning was reportedly thinking of trying to follow offensive coordinator Adam Gase to San Francisco, but that led nowhere when the 49ers did not offer Gase their head coaching job. John Elway gave a press conference the other day that was a mix of confidence that Manning would be back and a sales pitch for him to return.
According to USA Today, star defensive end DeMarcus Ware has been talking with Peyton, and he thinks that the quarterback will definitely be back next season. "Me and Peyton will always talk back and forth about things. Now he's just looking forward to the next season and how we can get better," Ware said. "I think he'll be back. I feel like he still has a couple years in him."

"He just needs time to get healthy, rest," Ware added. "Calm the brain down. Turn it off a little bit and then hit the restart button once it's time."
Manning will turn 39 near the end of March, and his salary for 2015 becomes guaranteed if he is still on Denver's roster on the first day of the new league year, which will be on March 10.
