Ever since "The Vigilante" Sting burst onto the scene at the Survivor Series in November, there have been plenty of rumors revolving around who he will face at WrestleMania 31.
Daniel Bryan Wants Match With Brock Lesnar: 'That's My Championship'
While all signs point to a Sting vs. Triple H match stemming from the events at the November Classic and there are rumors that Bray Wyatt will face The Undertaker if he opts to have a match, the WWE could have a potentially solid bout in a Sting vs. Wyatt encounter.
"The Eater of Worlds" and "The Vigilante" could be a great program for the WWE moving forward, and here are three reasons we'd like to see Wyatt stare across the ring at Sting in the former WCW and TNA icon's first WWE match at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in California.
Greatest Royal Rumble Moments At Each Event From 1988-2014
1) The storyline: Putting an evil mastermind like Wyatt against a "Vigilante" in Sting would provide not only the basic good guy vs. bad guy dynamic, but it will also allow the WWE to delve deeper into the storylines with Wyatt enraged over Sting thinking he is "The Vigilante" that is here to save everyone in the WWE.
Wyatt could then talk Sting down and say that "The Eater of Worlds" is here to save Sting from himself instead, much like he's done in some of his past feuds. Sting could then demand his first match be with Wyatt after several attacks on him from the tortured WWE Superstar.
2) Wyatt can use the exposure: The WWE is looking to build up Wyatt and has done a good job of it at the expense of Dean Ambrose lately -- likely to make Wyatt look strong in case he does face The Undertaker.
While The Undertaker will give him the kind of exposure he needs, there are too many question marks surrounding the "Deadman" and WrestleMania following his loss of The Streak and subsequent injury against Brock Lesnar last year.
Stepping in with a veteran like Sting will put all eyes on Wyatt and win or lose it would give him a rub that few others can get from such a matchup.
3) Triple H doesn't need to wrestle: "The Game" has transitioned into an authority figure over the last couple of years and it's been a good role for him. There is really no need for Triple H to come back to the squared circle, even at a big event like WrestleMania 31.
"The Game" is looking to build up new stars, and he has a great opportunity to give one of his young up-and-comers the chance of a lifetime by having them face "The Icon" in a star-studded singles match at the biggest show of the year.
While Triple H and Sting is intriguing in his own right, "The Game" finding his own hand-picked henchman to take out "The Vigilante" is another possible route that the WWE could go and that man could very well be Wyatt.
It remains to be seen how the card will shake out for WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in California, but a Wyatt vs. Sting match should at least be considered.
