Jerry Jones, Chris Christie Gay Rumors: Kinky Friedman Calls Cowboys Owner, New Jersey Governor 'Latent Homosexuals' [VIDEO]

Next time Kinky Friedman gives an interview, he should tell us how he really feels. The country singer appeared on ESPN's "Outside the Lines" program this week and was talking with host Bob Ley about the now-infamous hug that Jerry Jones shared with his son and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and things got pretty awkward.

According to TMZ, Friedman is an author and an aspiring politician in addition to being a country singer, and he hails from the same state as Jerry Jones's Cowboys. When asked about the hug, Friedman responded that he thought Jones and Christie shared "the most important latent homosexual relationship since Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson."

Ley immediately followed the comment with "You don't really mean that, obviously." And although the comment can be construed as a poorly timed joke, it is not entirely clear that Friedman even meant the comment to be in jest.

The hug occured following the Cowboys victory over the Detroit Lions in the wild card round of the NFC playoffs last weekend, which was just the franchise's second playoff win since they last won the Super Bowl in 1996. The Cowboys will now travel to Green Bay this weekend to face Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

The Cowboys-Packers tilt on Sunday will be the first playoff meeting between the two storied franchises since the famous Ice Bowl back in 1967. Although the weather will not be nearly as much of a factor this time around, there are still plenty of intriguing storylines around the game.

Most notably, Green Bay went 8-0 at Lambeau and destroyed nearly everyone they played at home, and Dallas went 8-0 on the road, joining just a handful of other teamst that have ever completed the regular season perfect on the road.
