WWE RAW Results: The Authority Fires Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan, New IC Champ Crowned and More

The first episode of Monday Night RAW for 2015 saw The Authority take back power in a big way, a new Intercontinental Champion crowned and the loss of jobs in storyline for three of the biggest WWE Superstars.

The final segment saw Triple H and Stephanie McMahon host John Cena Appreciation Night by talking up the former WWE Champion for bringing their jobs back.

"The Game" then brought out all of Cena's Survivor Series partners including Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan as all three had rough nights at the hands of The Authority.

Triple H then handed out punishment to each member of the team. Triple H gave Rowan a 30-day suspension, Stephanie and Triple H then gave Ryback a 60-day sentence and Ziggler a 90-day suspension.

The two then went to conference about it and Stephanie said instead of the suspensions, all three were fired and the blame was placed on Cena.

The Authority also kicked off the show and announced their plans for John Cena Appreciation Night due to the "Cenation" leader being forced to bring them back last week.

Triple H and Stephanie also rewarded Seth Rollins for his involvement by inserting him into the John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar bout, making it a Triple Threat Match at the Royal Rumble for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Jan. 25 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
