The Indianapolis Colts’ Chuck Pagano continues to demonstrate that he isn’t just one of the great coaches in the NFL. He’s also a great man.
Chuck Pagano, whose own successful battle with acute promyelocytic leukemia inspired his players and created the movement “Chuck Strong,” recently penned a letter to a long time Colts fan whose own father succumbed to the terrible disease.
Cheerleaders Shave Heads to Support Chuck Pagano
“I understand that you and I have something in common – a commitment to living in a vision rather than circumstance,” wrote Pagano, via the Indianapolis Star. “Throughout my personal journey with cancer, I have been fortunate to receive many words of encouragement from great people like you. Now, it’s my turn to return the favor.”
Alex Kormann’s father Russ was such a long-time and diehard Colts fan, he had rooted for the team since their days in Baltimore. He passed away in November from renal cancer.
Pagano’s Colts travel to Denver to face the Broncos in an AFC Divisional Playoff match-up Sunday.
