R & B star Chris Brown could be facing a probation violation and possible jail time, according to TMZ.com.
All Brown’s latest misfortune started last week when he rear-ended a Mercedes in Beverly Hills. TMZ reports Brown struck a female driver’s vehicle with his Range Rover while driving with on-again, off-again girlfriend Karreuche Tran. Upon evaluating the damages and exchanging names and insurance information, Brown gave the wrong insurance information. TMZ adds that because he left the scene “without fully disclosing information,” Brown could now face far more serious hit-and-run charges.
Brown was placed on five years of probation in 2009 for an assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Terms of his probation stipulate he could serve as many as four years behind bars if he is found to be in violation. TMZ adds LAPD has now requested a sit-down with Brown as soon as possible.
After reuniting, Brown and Rihanna have recently split again, but that hasn’t kept either far from the spotlight in recent days. Rihanna recently engaged in a running Twitter feud with Knicks star guard J.R. Smith, where she hinted his playoff struggles may be tied to all his late night drinking and partying.
Over the last month, the two were pictured party and hitting the Manhattan party scene.
