Mike Goodson Arrested: New York Jets Running Back Vomits on Himself When Police Bust Him for Marijuana Possession

And the New York Jets thought former quarterback Tim Tebow was a distraction.

Jets running back Mike Goodson threw up on himself, was slobbering and incoherent inside a vehicle in which he was a passenger when he was arrested early Friday morning, according to USA Today.

Goodson was in court Wednesday to plead not guilty to gun and drug charges in connection to the arrest.

New Jersey State Trooper Carlos Mesa said in an affidavit that he found a baggie of marijuana in the pocket of Goodson's pants, as well as a .45-caliber hand gun that was loaded. Drug paraphernalia also was present in the car, which 31-year-old driver Garant Evans consented to have searched.

Mesa said that when he found the car stopped on Interstate 80 in Denville, N.J., he approached the vehicle and smelled alcohol and marijuana from inside the vehicle. The 25-year-old Goodson was in the passenger front seat.

As a precaution, Goodson was ordered to go to a hospital as a precaution because of his level of intoxication.

A tow truck operator reported the vehicle to police when he saw the car was stopped in the left center lane of the interested at around 3 a.m., according to the police report.

The loaded, .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun contained 4 Speer rounds and one Winchester hollow point bullet, according to a criminal complaint that was included in the USA Today report.

Criminal complaints also said that police recovered two partially smoked marijuana cigars and drug paraphernalia, consisting of four empty plastic baggies and one Dutchmaster pack.

The cigars were inside the pack.

Goodson, who played college football at Texas A&M, posted $50,000 bail and appeared Wednesday, at a processing hearing in state Superior Court.

The driver, Evans, remained in jail on $75,000 bail, according to USA Today.
