WrestleMania 31 Rumors: Seth Rollins Wants To Be In Title Match At 'Show of Shows' & More [VIDEO]

Since the split of The Shield this past summer, Seth Rollins has been on a meteoric rise to becoming the top heel in the WWE and "Mr. Money in the Bank" said he wants a WWE World Heavyweight Championship shot at WrestleMania 31.

WWE SmackDown Spoilers For The Final Show Of 2014

Rollins recently spoke with TheNational.ae and said that he wants to be the No. 1 contender and face whoever the champion is at the biggest show of the year on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in California.

"Whoever the WWE World Heavyweight Champion is at that point, it doesn't matter," Rollins told the site when asked who he wants to battle at WrestleMania 31. "As long as the title's on the line, that's the match I want to be in."

Backstage Rumors On Brock Lesnar Possibly Re-joining The UFC

Of course, Rollins does own the Money in the Bank briefcase after winning the Ladder Match in June, so he is able to cash in his title shot whenever he wants.

The current rumors surrounding the "Show of Shows" call for his former Shield stablemate Roman Reigns to battle Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, so even though Rollins is likely to be placed in a high-profile match on the card, he likely won't be wrestling for the richest prize in the game.

Rollins has gone through a few character changes since his debut as The Shield debuted as a heel stable and eventually turned face until Rollins once again became a villain by turning on Reigns and Dean Ambrose and aligning himself with Triple H and The Authority.

Rollins has since been the No. 1 heel in the company and he opened up about his character.

"My character is very polarizing, sure," he said. "There's a lot of stuff I've done over the past year that people haven't been too pleased about - and to be the best at anything, you've gotta make some enemies. So call me [the] No. 1 villain, call me hero, call me top guy in WWE. Whatever you want, it doesn't matter to me. I'm happy with what I've done to get here."

Rollins is one of the best in-ring Superstars on the WWE roster and he spoke about his abilities in the squared circle with the website.

"I'm well-versed on the mat, but I can pick up people much bigger than me," he said. "I can hang with anybody, I can trade power moves, I can fly through the air. Maybe there's no one in the history of WWE who can say they can do all those things."

Rollins' WrestleMania plans remain up in the air, but it is likely he'll have a big role at the WWE's next big event, the Royal Rumble, on Jan. 25 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
