BOSTON RED SOX vs CHICAGO WHITE SOX Watch Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage from U.S. CELLULAR FIELD CHICAGO

The Chicago White Sox will look to improve their record by completing a series sweep at home of the Boston Red Sox. The first pitch is scheduled for 8:10 p.m. ET and will air live on MLB.com with a paid subscription and for free here.

The Red Sox will look to answer with Clay Buchholz (6-0). Buchholz currently owns an impressive 1.78 ERA and is coming off a no decision in a May 17 game against Minnesota in which he allowed two earned runs in seven innings.

Chicago was scheduled to match with ace Chris Sale. However, the lefty will miss Wednesday's game due to shoulder tendonitis in left shoulder.

If healthy, the game was scheduled to be a potential duel between two of this season's most successful starting pitchers. Sale currently owns a 4-0 record and a 1.18 ERA in his last five starts and hasn't allowed a run in 23 straight innings.

Instead, the White Sox will send out Hector Santiago (!-2). Santiago currently owns a 2.78 ERA and is coming off a 3.1 inning performance in which he allowed three earned runs and earned a no decision.

As a starter, Santiago has gone 1-1 with a 2.95 ERA in four appearances since making his first May 2. However, his control has been shaky as he allowed four walks in the White Sox 12-9 loss amongst his three runs to the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday.

"I'm never like that. I go inning by inning. If I go five, if I go seven, it doesn't matter," Santiago told ESPN. "(I'm) just trying to make better pitches."

Santiago has yet to make a start at home this season. His only career appearance against Boston came on July 18, when he allowed two runs in three innings of relief in Chicago's 10-1 loss.
